This expedition, which consisted of Torben Redder, my son Frederik Lygum Christensen and myself, aimed to find undiscovered Mayan caves and Mayan cities.
We found countless Mayan caves with ceramics, and in the temple city of Sabalam, approx. 15 km west of the discovered Mayan city Uaxachatun we found an undiscovered Mayan city hidden in the dense jungle.
Tomb robbers had tried to dig into the pyramids for burial chambers, but without success.
